Weddings

The Wings of Mackinac Butterly Conservatory is a unique and delightful site for your meaningful wedding ceremony, elopement, vow renewal or union. Imagine your wedding in an all glassed in conservatory filled with lush plants, ponds, and free flying butterflies. We can host up to 40 people. Our wrought iron gazebo decorated with tulle and candles (if provided by the bride and groom) can be placed in the ponds. We do allow the playing of quiet music. You may also provide your own music.

All weddings of six or more take place in the early evening hours after the Conservatory has closed to the public. Elopements up to four can be performed while we are open if you would prefer an earlier wedding ceremony.

On our grounds we have tables and chairs and a beautiful lawn. Bring your own picnic or purchase food at Surrey Hills and enjoy our yard while on the carriage tour. Don't forget to enjoy the carriage museum at Surrey Hills.

Wedding Rates

Wedding Package $800.00: Includes ceremony with up to 40 people after 6:00 PM, seating, gazebo decorated with tulle and organza, conservatory, CD and minister for up to one hour.

Elopement Package $500.00: Ceremony may be performed while we are open and two witnesses may be invited or we can provide witnesses for you. Package includes gazebo decorated in tulle and organza, conservatory, CD, and minister for up to 30 minutes.

Rehearsals: There is a $100.00 fee added to your ceremony rate.

Ceremonies may also be held outside on Surrey Hills lawn. Fee is the same and standing only.

Ceremonies are performed by Marie E Steensma.

Marie is also available to marry couples on other property sites on Mackinac Island. Fee is $225.00 per ceremony and $100.00 for a rehearsal.
